Franks Home page

I created my first Web page in July 1995, back in the early days of the World Wide Web. This version covers some of the hobbies and subjects that interest me. Astronomy has always been my passion. My first telescope was a 60mm refractor, a gift from my Dad on my 9th birthday. It was a great experience! A few years later, I majored in Astronomy here at UCLA. From 1986 to 1997, and it was indeed a fantastic career.

The society is very active with observations and astrophotography in Gibraltar and nearby Spain. For the standard alignment I have taken the following procedure before using an external pointing model like for example, Model Creator.

Extragalactic Journey

I went to the Christ the Redeemer statue at Corcovado and met a great guide who took us several places along the Corcovado mountain. Here is a picture of me holding the Christ! I am currently in the middle of completing my thesis, so I doubt I will have much time to post in the near future. I have a post-doc at UCLA with Ned Wright to work on the WISE mission. No more trips until after I start the new position. Tchau! Is God a Mathematician? I went to the AAS in Long Beach, CA to giv.
